Dental Injuries

Prompt care for knocked-out, cracked, chipped, or loosened teeth and other mouth injuries.

General & Preventive

Dental injuries can happen suddenly through falls, sports, vehicle accidents, workplace incidents, interpersonal violence, or other trauma. They can affect your comfort, confidence, and ability to eat or speak normally. Whatever the circumstances, you deserve calm, compassionate care that respects your needs and privacy.

Injuries we care for

  • Chipped, broken, or cracked teeth
  • Loosened or displaced teeth
  • Knocked-out permanent teeth
  • Injuries to the gums, lips, or other oral tissues
  • Damaged fillings, crowns, or other restorations
  • Dental and bite concerns following facial or jaw trauma

How we help

We begin with a careful evaluation to understand the extent of the injury, relieve discomfort, and determine whether the affected tooth can be saved. Depending on your needs, treatment may include stabilizing or repairing a tooth, restorative or cosmetic care, or tooth-replacement options when saving the natural tooth is not possible. If an injury requires care from a medical provider or specialist, we'll help explain the appropriate next step. Comfort and sedation options may be discussed when appropriate.

Some injuries require immediate attention. Call us immediately at (770) 623-8700 for a knocked-out permanent tooth, severe pain, a displaced tooth, or significant dental damage. For uncontrolled bleeding, difficulty breathing or swallowing, loss of consciousness, major facial trauma, or a suspected broken jaw, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. See our Emergency Dental Care page for more.
